Thrive-Do you know who your best Sales coach is?

Hey, this is Meridith Elliot Powell. And do you know who your best sales coach is? The best person out there to tell you what you’re doing well and where you’re challenged. Your best sales coach, that’s you. That’s right. I know you can hire gurus and experts in the field. All a good step. But the best person who can inform you about what you’re doing well and where you’re messing up is you. I want to ask you every week, every month, do you take some time reflecting on your sales process, really looking back at what you did over the last week or the last 30 days or the first quarter of the year and ask yourself, what’s working? What isn’t working? What did I do that really closed business? What did I do that really landed and helped me help the customer and achieve my goals? Then be honest with yourself. Where did I waste time? What didn’t work? What do I need to do less of? And what could I be doing that I’m not doing that could really take me over the edge? Always remember, you want the experts to give you advice, to give you input. But the best sales coach is you. Look back on what you’re doing, be honest with yourself and get on the road to consistent Improvement. You do that, you’ll turn all of this uncertainty into your greatest competitive advantage.
